Customers must not use SohoCloud infrastructure to intentionally host, distribute or facilitate unauthorized copies of protected works.

02

Copyright-Infringing Content

Content hosted on a VPS may raise copyright concerns when it is copied, distributed, reproduced or made available without the authorization required by the applicable rights holder.

  • Unauthorized copies of copyrighted works.
  • Websites distributing protected content without permission.
  • Unauthorized software or license keys.
  • Infringing downloads or file distribution services.
  • Services designed to facilitate copyright infringement.
03

Submitting a Copyright Complaint

A copyright owner or authorized representative who believes that content associated with a SohoCloud VPS infringes their rights may submit a copyright complaint for review.

To help us evaluate a report, the complaint should clearly identify the copyrighted work, the allegedly infringing material, the relevant location or URL where applicable, and the basis for the rights holder's claim.

04

Required Information

A copyright report should contain sufficient information to allow the reported material and the relevant VPS service to be identified.

  • Identification of the copyrighted work.
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material.
  • The location of the material, such as a URL or service reference.
  • Information establishing the reporting party's authority.
  • A clear description of the alleged infringement.
  • Accurate information necessary for follow-up communication.
05

Review of Copyright Reports

Copyright reports may be reviewed based on the information provided, the applicable law, the nature of the reported content and the relevant service information available to SohoCloud Store.

A report may require additional information or clarification when the submitted information is incomplete or does not sufficiently identify the alleged infringement.

06

Service Actions

Where a copyright concern is substantiated or where action is otherwise required by applicable law, SohoCloud Store may take appropriate action regarding the affected service.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include requesting removal or modification of the reported material, restricting access to affected resources, requesting corrective action or taking other measures permitted by applicable law and the applicable service terms.

07

Customer Responsibilities

VPS customers are responsible for the content, software, websites, applications and files they store, publish or distribute through their VPS.

Customers should maintain appropriate licenses, permissions and records for third-party content used within their hosted environments.

08

False or Misleading Reports

Copyright complaints should be submitted in good faith and should contain accurate information. Reports should not be used to intentionally disrupt legitimate services, harass customers or make knowingly false claims.

SohoCloud Store may consider the quality and reliability of the information provided when reviewing a complaint.

09

Counter-Notice and Disputed Claims

Where applicable, a customer may provide information disputing a copyright complaint or explaining why the reported material is authorized or otherwise lawful.

Any counter-notice or dispute process will be handled according to applicable law and the procedures relevant to the specific service and claim.

10

Intellectual Property and Payment Services

Customers must not use VPS Hosting services or associated payment services for transactions involving unauthorized or infringing intellectual property.

Payment providers may maintain their own intellectual property, acceptable use and risk requirements. Customers are responsible for complying with the applicable policies of the payment provider used for an order.
